From starting from scratch, a complete overhaul, or subtle tweaks that make all the difference to your structure, content and/or delivery. In any or all of these and more:

Speakers Partner® is for you if you want “just in time” coaching as well as longer lead-times for planned high-stakes events such as conference presentations, sales meetings or panel discussions.

The details:

  • Pre-coaching intake 30-minute interview
  • Pre-coaching viewing of previous speaking examples (if applicable)
  • 10 months (completely flexible)
  • 12 x 75-minute/15 x 1-hour sessions (flexible). 30-minute online sessions available for C-Suite executives
  • Online or in person (Melbourne)
  • Includes the deepest level of resources
  • High level of access between sessions
  • ‘Just in time’ coaching for last-minute scenarios
  • Video modules as reminders.

 

Inclusions if chosen:

  • Travel to 2 events for pre-coaching (if desired) and post-feedback (conditions apply)
  • In-depth analysis and feedback in between sessions (recordings sent)
  • Analysis and refinement of presentation/speech walk-throughs
  • Slide decks revised, redesigned or created with you
  • Additional research and support e.g. drafting a conference abstract, speech-writing (‘done with you’ service)

  • Storytelling, or using case-studies. Crucial, and hard to do well.
  • ‘Sticky’ messages. How simple, emotive and clear are your messages?
  • Distilling too many messages into clear, succinct points that ‘land’.
  • Delivery with contrast, space and connection
  • Structure: “winging” becomes logic and flow, “rigid” becomes flexible thinking.
  • Working with or without notes, slides or a script.

Panels, interviews, podcasts, fireside chats, town halls, media interactions

Skills examples:

  • Communicating your values authentically and comfortably
  • Using charisma tactics like metaphor and quotes effectively
  • Finding the right level of animation for your audience or listeners
  • Bringing people along with your vision and goals
  • Body language that works or blocks
  • Working with or without notes, slides or a script.

Meetings with stakeholders, internal or external

Skills examples:

  • Listener-focused attention and language
  • Have a clear agenda and sticking to it
  • Knowing how to interrupt, and how to maintain control
  • Staying resilient and focused in a combative environment
  • Staying on track when disrupted by external or internal challenges
  • Matching others’ energy: or deliberately mismatching to make a point.

1:1 conversations

Skills examples:

  • Giving and receiving feedback
  • Words to use to achieve specific persuasive outcomes
  • Words and phrases to use and avoid
  • Getting to the point and minimising tangents or padding
  • Not adding too much ‘value’ i.e. giving more input than is needed!
  • Matching the other person’s energy: or deliberately mismatching.
